What are the benefits from a Hygienist?

  • A dental hygienist is specially trained in the prevention of Gum disease
  • They can give advice on diet and prevention of dental decay

Fillings & Extractions

You may need a filling for several reasons such as decay, broken tooth or broken filling.

  • Extractions - Teeth can be extracted for orthodontic reasons to make space to re-arrange the position of teeth but also if they have become too diseased to restore.
  • Metal amalgam filling - are very strong and easy to place in hard to reach areas.
  • White fillings - are aesthetically pleasing and can look just like the rest of your tooth when placed.

Root Canal Therapy

Sometimes when a tooth is badly decayed the nerve inside becomes involved. Symptoms such as pain, swelling or sensitivity can be a sign of nerve involvement.
If left untreated this can lead to an infection or abscess.

Dentures

A denture is a removable ‘appliance’ (dentist sometimes call it a ‘removable prosthesis’) that is used to replace missing teeth.

What are the benefits from Dentures?

  • Dentures help keep facial muscles from sagging, which can make a person look older.
  • You will be able to eat and speak – something people often take for granted until they begin to lose their natural teeth…
  • You will be able to smile confidently

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a fast, effective and pain-free way of improving a person’s smile and as such it is one of the fastest growing and most popular dentistry procedures.

Many people are born with dark coloured teeth whilst others experience staining or darkening over time. This can be exacerbated through the consumption of staining food or drink (e.g., red wine and tea) or through smoking. Much of this staining can be reversed rapidly and painlessly using modern teeth whitening methods.
